One night way back in 1994, I was living on the east coast of FL. Once a year, the sea turtles return home to their birth site along this coast to lay their eggs. Oblivious at the time to this, I was out walking along the beach one night and in the distance I saw something like a small tractor plowing thru the sand. Realizing what it was, I stood there a distance away and watched it go about it’s business. It was perhaps one of the most inspiring things I have seen in my life. As it made it’s way up the beach, dug out a hole in the sand, and deposited it’s eggs. It then covered them up and made it’s way back out to sea.
Others, lacking due respect, and probably oblivious to the fact that it’s against the law to approach the turtles, were on the beach with their flashlights trying to spot them out. The lights can disorient a turtle as they use the stars to navigate their way back to the sea.

Crawling out of the darkness
The violent sea
Homeward bound
Prolong their destiny
Emerging silent
Alone in the night
While the Heavens flash
With unnatural light
The trial begins
A jury of lights
Scampering witnesses
Eyes without sight
Blinded confusion
By incessant youths
Refuses their pleas
Lies without truth
Retrial, appeal
To the powers that be
Emerging once again
With phosphorescent sheen
The judge turns
To award her prize
A fertile void
In the sands of time.
Welcome everyone.
For those of you who have been following my blog in the past know that I stopped posting a few months ago mainly because I was getting bored with this turning into, for lack of a better term, a “bitch blog”. My original vision of this blog years ago was to explore various things, rather then basically just bitch about what’s on my mind today.
So I’ve decided to start fresh from scratch. My uncle’s blog Mind’s Eye gave me an idea on how to go about doing this and get me back on track for my original vision. I have so many pictures and writings just taking up space on my hard drive that I think it’s time to explore them and share them with the world. I don’t really want to be one of those people whose ideas and visions go unknown until after their death when some geek hacker finds my harddrive in some dump site and then takes credit for what’s on it.
While I have no intention of posting every day. It’s just too stressful. I do plan on every few days or so. And plan on exploring some of my long lost photos, writings, and linking out to various articles on issues affecting us all.
